This document contains all policies and terms for Sedum, Inc. DBA Volunteer Center County DBA Engage Centre County PA

All 4 sections of this document herein (Privacy Policy, Release and Waiver of Liability, Terms of Use, and Terms of Service) apply to Sedum, Inc. including the website https://engagecentrecountypa.org/, the website volunteercentrecounty.org, and the VOLUNTEER CENTRE COUNTY (VCC) app accessible via iTunes, the Google Play store, and from www.thestoryapp.io owned and operated by Sedum, Inc. DBA Volunteer Centre County, DBA Engage Center County PA, a 501(c)(3) organization ("we", "us", “our” or a similar term), a Pennsylvania corporation.

Our websites and Internet application are herein referred to as “Site, Sites, or Site(s)”.

Content within this document applies to our online activities and is valid for Community Partners and their users, as well as registered volunteers and visitors who are using our Site(s) with regard to the information that they have shared and/or collect. Neither Sedum, Inc., Volunteer Centre County, nor Engage Centre County PA bears any responsibility for actual volunteers’ or potential volunteers’ relationships with any Community Partner or its representative(s), or with anyone else in the volunteer community.

Consent

By using our Site(s), which includes searching for, browsing, signing-up for, and/or tracking the hours and tasks which are used to compute community impacts of volunteer activities hosted by Volunteer Center County’s Site(s) and third-party partner organizations (“Community Partners”), and engaging in the activities related to being a volunteer for a work project (the “volunteer work”), the individual user hereby consents to our Privacy Policy, Release and Waiver of Liability, and Terms of Use herein and the Community Partner consents to our Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service herein.

I.   PRIVACY POLICY

When personal information is requested, we adhere to the following privacy principles regarding how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information.

This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than our Sites. This Privacy Policy is intended to be a general statement that describes how we collect, use, and process personal information you provide on our Sites.

Privacy Practices

1. Information Collection

When you register an account on a Site, post information, or take other similar actions, we may collect or obtain from you information including, but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, and profile preferences.

We may also collect information your Internet device or web browser sends whenever you visit one or more of our Sites, including an Internet Protocol address.

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

2. Use of Personal Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Sites
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our Sites
  • Understand and analyze how you use our Sites
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the Sites, and for marketing and promotional purposes
  • Send you emails
  • Find and prevent fraud

We may also use the personal information you provide to fulfill requests you make and to allow us to contact you to (a) seek your voluntary feedback on a Site features or content, (b) help fulfill our Sites’ missions, or (c) address internal needs, including auditing, data analysis, system troubleshooting, and research.

In addition, we may use both the personal information you provided and the information your web browser sends in order to detect users who appear to be causing harm to our Site(s) or in order to personalize users’ experiences on our Site(s).

If your information will be used for any purpose besides those outlined above, we will specifically inform you and obtain your consent, if legally required.

From time to time, we may also make you aware of options to opt out of using or opt in to use certain features.

All users will have the ability to delete their accounts and corresponding data if they so choose.

When we become aware of content that we consider to be offensive or that could compromise the privacy of your personal or confidential information or that of another person, we will make a good-faith effort to block or remove such content.

3. Log Files

Our Site(s) follow a standard procedure of using log files.

These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and it is a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the Site(s), tracking users' movement on the Site(s), and gathering demographic information.

4. Retention

We retain collected personal information and submissions for a reasonable period of time to fulfill the collection purpose and then delete it from our records, with the exception of limited historical information.

Again, all users will have the ability to delete their accounts and corresponding data if they so choose.

5. Access

We endeavor to maintain the accuracy of personal information and rely on you to ensure your personal information is complete and accurate.

You may verify, correct, or remove your personal information through your registration profile where applicable.

If you experience problems with modifying or updating your personal information, you can contact us by sending an E-mail to info@volunteercentrecounty.org. Upon receiving your E-mail message, we will do our best to provide you with a response within 30 days.

If we cannot honor your request within the 30-day period or cannot provide you access to the requested information, we will explain why.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We regard your personal information as confidential and do not sell it to anyone. We do not share your personal information with other parties except in the following circumstances (or in other instances where we specifically inform you and obtain your prior consent):

Third-Party Providers. We may provide personal information to third parties for their use in performing internal functions on our behalf (for example, maintenance, security, data analysis, hosting, and so forth). In such instances, the providers will be contractually required to protect personal information from additional use (including for marketing purposes) or transfer in accordance with this Privacy Policy and industry standards.

Legal Requirements. We may access and disclose your personal information, posts, online chats, content, or other submissions to any of our Sites if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is required by a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order or otherwise required by law. Additionally, we may disclose your personal information and other information where we, in good faith, deem it appropriate or necessary to prevent a violation of our other agreements; to take precautions against liability; to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site(s), of any individual, or of the general public; to maintain and protect the security and integrity of our services or infrastructure; to protect ourselves and our services from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; to investigate and defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations; or to assist government law enforcement agencies.

7. Protection of Information

We use technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we receive against loss, misuse, and unauthorized alteration and to protect its confidentiality.

We regularly review our security procedures and consider appropriate new security technology and methods. We also use current encryption technology to encrypt the transmission of data on our log-in pages. However, because we cannot guarantee the complete security of these encryption technologies, please use caution when submitting personal information online.

8. Third-Party Data

Where local law permits, you may submit personal information about someone other than yourself in your submissions or through other features on the Site(s). When providing personal information about anyone other than yourself, you must first obtain the other person’s informed consent if his or her consent is legally required. By default, we will assume that you are who you say you are.

If you or someone else has provided us with your personal information and you would like to request that it be removed or that we do not contact you, please follow the unsubscribe or opt-out procedures provided on the specific Site, newsletter, email notification, or the like, or contact us directly.

9. Passive Data Collection: Tracking Technologies, Cookies, and Analytics

When you visit any of our Sites, our servers (using log files) or filtering systems may collect information that your web browser sends any time you visit our Site(s). This information may include but is not limited to your browser type, operating system, language preference, any referring web page you were visiting before you came to our Site(s), the date and time of each visitor request, and information you search for on our Site(s). We may also share this information with our employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliated entities such a Community Partners, or others as needed.

We and our third-party service providers (such as analytics providers) use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering our resources, tracking users’ movements around our resources, and gathering demographic information about our user base to better understand how you use and interact with our Sites to improve your experience. We may receive reports based on these technologies by these service providers on an individual as well as an aggregated basis.

We may use, and also third parties with whom we contract may use, HTML5 Cookies (Local Storage) to store content information and preferences.

The VOLUNTEER CENTRE COUNTY app has no access to or control over any cookies that may be used by third-party partners.

You can change your web browser settings to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the resources you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use some sections or functions of our resources. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of any third-party ad servers for more detailed information if needed. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.

10. Rights Regarding the Privacy of Personal Information

We prescribe to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Data Protection Rights (c.f., https://edps.europa.eu/data-protection/our-work/subjects/rights-individual_en) by empowering individuals and give them control over their personal data.

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that we complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

11. Children's Privacy

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

We do not knowingly collect information from minors and children under the age of 13 on our Sites. If you think that your child provided information on our Site(s), we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records.

12. Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites. For your own protection, you should review the policies of other sites to ensure they meet your personal privacy expectations.

13. Future Changes to Privacy Policy

We regularly review this Privacy Policy and may change, modify, add, or remove portions as needed. Any information that we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, revise the Privacy Policy from time to time. If a revision is material, as determined solely by us, we will notify you, for example here or in a notice on our home page prior to the change becoming effective. The current version will always be posted on our Privacy Policy page. We encourage you to check this Privacy Policy from time to time to remain informed of any changes.

II.  RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Individual volunteers accepting an invitation to be included in Volunteer Center County’s Volunteer Management System (database and its functionality) are required to acknowledge they have read and understand our Release and Waiver of Liability for the services we, Volunteer Center County, provide.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

If you, the volunteer, are under the age of eighteen (18) years, a parent or guardian must print out this page, sign below this paragraph, and mail to: Sedum, Inc., P.O. Box 92, Port Matilda, PA 16870.

I, the volunteer, hereby execute this Release and Waiver of Liability in favor of Sedum, Inc. DBA Volunteer Center County and DBA Engage Centre County PA, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and each of its directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, “Volunteer Center County”). I desire to use Volunteer Centre County’s and/or Engage Centre County PA’s services to engage in the activities related to being a volunteer for a work project. I understand that the scope of the volunteer’s relationship with Volunteer Centre County is limited to the data-sharing and information-collecting process and that Volunteer Centre County bears no responsibility for my relationship with any third-party member organizations for which I am volunteering.I further understand that third-party member organizations have full discretion in deciding whether to accept my offer of volunteer work and that Volunteer Centre County has no authority, influence or control over that matter.

I, the volunteer, hereby freely and voluntarily, without duress, execute this Release under the following terms:

WAIVER AND RELEASE: I, the volunteer, release and forever discharge and hold harmless Volunteer Centre County, and Engage Centre County PA and its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from our Site(s)’ process(es) and/or the volunteer work in which I accept. I, the volunteer, understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges Sedum, Inc., Volunteer Centre County, and Engage Center County PA from any liability or claim that the volunteer may have against Sedum, Inc., Volunteer Centre County, or against Engage Centre County PA with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from the Site(s)’ process(es) and/or the volunteer work. It is also understood that Sedum, Inc. DBA Volunteer Centre County and DBA Engage Centre County PA does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance in the event of injury, illness, death, or property damage.

INSURANCE: I, the volunteer understand that I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of Volunteer Center County and Engage Center County PA.

MEDICAL TREATMENT: I, the volunteer, hereby release and forever discharge Volunteer Centre County and Engage Center County PA from any claim whatsoever that arises ormay hereafter arise on account of any first-aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with an emergency during the Site(s)’ processes or the volunteer work.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I, the volunteer, understand that the time with Volunteer Centre County, Engage Centre County PA, and/or its third-party member organizations may include activities that may be hazardous to me including, but not limited to, construction activities, loading and unloading of heavy equipment and materials, and local transportation to and from places where work is performed. Also, I, the volunteer recognize and understand that the time with Volunteer Centre County, Engage Centre County PA, and/or its third-party Community Partner organizations may, in some situations, involve inherently dangerous activities. As the volunteer, I hereby expressly assume the risk of injury or harm in these activities and release Volunteer Centre County and Engage Centre County PA from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from the Site(s)’ processes and/or the volunteer work.

PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE: As the volunteer, I grant and convey unto Volunteer Centre County and Engage Centre County PA all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Volunteer Centre County or Engage Centre County PA during volunteer work.

OTHER: As the volunteer, I expressly agree that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States of America and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release, which shall continue to be enforceable.

By clicking the box on the Site(s) as prompted upon registration or invitation to set up an account, or simply upon using the Site(s), I agree to comply with your volunteer policies and express my understanding and intent to enter into this Release and Waiver of Liability.

III. TERMS OF USE

By signing in to, accessing, or otherwise using the Site(s), you agree to this Volunteer Centre County Terms of Use Agreement (these "Terms of Use"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms of Use, do not use our Site(s). We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time, so please check for changes to these Terms of Use each time you use this Site. Your continued use of this Site following the posting of changes to these Terms of Use means that you accept those changes.

Licenses and Restrictions. The Sites are owned and operated by Sedum, Inc. DBA Volunteer Centre County DBA Engage Centre County PA (a 501(c)(3) organization ("we", "us", or a similar term), a Pennsylvania corporation registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State and having its principal address at 502 W 7th ST STE 100, Erie, PA 16502, United States of America. You may view, download, and print material from our Site(s) only for your personal, noncommercial use unless otherwise indicated. In addition, materials from the Site(s) may be reproduced for use in traditional public news forums and social media uses unless otherwise indicated. You may not post material from our Site(s) to another website or on a computer network without our permission. You may not transmit or distribute material from our Site(s) to another website or app. You may not use our Site(s) or information found on our Site(s) (including the names or addresses of those who have submitted information to our Site(s)) to sell or promote products or services, to solicit clients, or for any other commercial purpose.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve sole discretion and right to deny, revoke, or limit use of our Site(s), including the reproduction and any other use of any material available through the Site(s). It is not our responsibility, however, to determine what "fair use" means for persons wishing to use materials from our Site(s). That remains wholly a responsibility of individual users of the Site(s). Furthermore, we are not required to give additional source citations, or to guarantee that the materials of our Site(s) are cleared for any alternate use. Code of Conduct. You understand and agree that the result of harmful or offensive actions (or any other breach of these Terms) may include revocation of your right to use our Site(s) and its materials and result in legal action against you.

Interactions with Others. Our Sites provides a platform for individuals to learn about and coordinate service and donation opportunities. We are not a party to, have no involvement or interest in, make no representations or warranties as to, and have no responsibility or liability with respect to any communications, transactions, interactions, disputes, or any relations whatsoever between you and any other person or organization, whether or not you found or otherwise interacted with such person or organization through, or as a result of your use of, our Site(s).

We cannot and do not confirm the identity of any person or organization using our Site(s). You are solely responsible for determining the identity and suitability of others with whom you may interact through, or as a result of using, our Site(s). We do not represent orwarrant that our Site(s) is sufficient to determine whether it is appropriate for you to interact with others. Further, we do not endorse any persons who use or register on our Site(s).

We do not investigate or verify any person or organization's reputation, conduct, morality, criminal background, or any information others may submit to our Site(s), and the burden is on you to investigate the legitimacy of any organization, posting, or service opportunity. In this regard, please be aware of scammers, and note that the service and donation opportunities presented through our Site(s) are intended to give you the chance to help others by donating your time and efforts, and donated goods (such as materials, if appropriate, for example, in the assembly and preparation of humanitarian aid kits). If, however, any person or organization you encounter through our Site(s) requests that you contribute money, you should notify us immediately, as this is contrary to our policy and the purpose of our Site(s).

User Content. The services provided on our Site(s) allow you to share information. Furthermore, you warrant that you have the right to use such names, likenesses, logos, etc. That content may include images, descriptions, files, trademarks, service marks, tradenames, personal data, and other content or information (any such materials a user submits, posts, displays, or otherwise makes available on our Site(s) is referred to as "User Content"). You retain full ownership of all your User Content and can request (at any time) that we remove it from our Site(s). We reserve the right to refuse to accept, or to remove from our Site(s), any User Content for any reason, such as if we believe that it may subject us to legal liability or that it may violate these Terms.

You agree not to post User Content that:

(i) may create a risk of harm, loss, physical or mental injury, emotional distress, death, disability, disfigurement, or physical or mental illness to you, to any other person, or to any animal;
(ii) may create a risk of any other loss or damage to any person or property;
(iii) seeks to harm or exploit children by exposing them to inappropriate content, asking them for personally identifiable information, or otherwise;
(iv) may constitute or contribute to a crime or tort;
(v) contains any information or content that we deem to be unlawful, harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, harassing, humiliating to other people (publicly or otherwise), libelous, threatening, profane, or otherwise objectionable;
(vi) contains any information or content that is illegal;
(vii) contains any information or content that you do not have a right to make available under any law, including data protection law, or due to any contractual or fiduciary relationship;
(viii) contains any information or content that you know or believe is not correct and current; or
(ix) promotes, or otherwise incites discrimination, racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual. You agree not to use this Site to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory, and you understand and agree that your failure to comply with this provision may lead to your loss of access to our Site(s).

You agree that any User Content that you post does not and will not violate any third- party right of any kind, including, without limitation, any Intellectual Property Rights (as defined below). To the extent that your User Content contains third-party content, you hereby represent that you are the owner of, or have a valid license to, all the Intellectual Property Rights of such third-party content, and have the power to grant the license granted below. You hereby represent that you have the written consent of each and every identifiable natural person whose likeness appears in your User Content to use and allow us and our Site(s)' users to use such person's name or likeness in the manner contemplated by our Site(s) and by these Terms, and each such person has released you and us from any liability that may arise in relation to such use. You will supply us with these written consents if we request you to do so. We reserve (as stated above) the right, but not the obligation, to reject and/or remove any User Content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates these provisions without admission or liability. For the purposes of these Terms, "Intellectual Property Rights" means any and all patent rights; copyright rights; moral rights; rights of publicity and rights of privacy; trademark, trade dress, and service mark rights; goodwill; trade secrets; and other intellectual property rights as may now exist or hereafter come into existence, and all applications therefor and registrations, renewals, and extensions thereof, under the laws of any state, country, territory, or other jurisdiction.

To the extent permitted by applicable laws, we assume no responsibility and we assume no liability for any User Content that you or any other user or third-party posts on our Site(s). You shall be solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it, and you agree that we are only acting as a passive conduit for the online display of your (and others') User Content. You understand and agree that you may be exposed to User Content that is inaccurate, objectionable, inappropriate for children, or otherwise unsuited to your purpose, and you agree that we shall not be liable for any damages you allege to incur as a result of any such User Content.

User Content License Grant. By posting any User Content on our Site(s), including, without limitation, your or another’s name, likeness, logo, tradename, trademark, service mark, or copyrighted materials, you expressly grant to us, and you hereby represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant to us, a royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, transmit, list information regarding, edit, translate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, and make derivative works of all such User Content, in whole or in part, and in any form, media, or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed, for use in connection with our Site(s).

No Control Over Third Parties. No service opportunities, meetings, events, organizations, or individuals listed on our Site(s) are controlled by us, and individuals participating with such do so at their own risk.

Remember, our Site(s) is just a platform that enables you to communicate and interact with other people and organizations in your community and around the world. We cannot be responsible for the interactions that you have with other individuals on, through, or as a result of your use of our Site(s), so please use good judgment and keep safety in mind when you use our Site(s).

Because our Site(s) is merely a platform, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more persons or organizations, you release us (and our officers, directors, members, employees, agents, volunteers, Community Partners, and affiliates) from all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

Linking. For your convenience, our Site(s) may contain links to websites operated by others. Those third-party websites are not maintained or controlled by us, and we are not responsible for their content. Although we have made a good-faith effort to link only to tasteful and appropriate websites, some may contain inappropriate or objectionable material. If you find such material while using a website that you accessed through a link on our Site(s), please notify us immediately.

We do not control, endorse, or adopt any third-party content and shall have no responsibility for the same, including, without limitation, material that may be misleading, incomplete, erroneous, offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable. You must evaluate and bear all risks associated with third-party content.

We believe that those who make information available on the Internet expect that it will be publicly and widely available. Therefore, we believe that linking to other websites is legally permissible and consistent with the expectations of those who use the Internet. However, if access to a particular website should be restricted, the operator of such website should promptly notify us.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States of America, as applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within the state, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any action you bring to enforce these Terms of Use or any matters related to our Site(s) shall be brought in state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such action, and you hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. If any provision of these Terms is unlawful, void, or unenforceable in whole or in part, the remaining provisions shall not be affected, unless we determine that the invalid or unenforceable provision is an essential term, in which case we may at our sole discretion amend these Terms.

Limitations of Liability. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, we are not liable for any direct, special, or consequential damages, or any other damages of any kind, resulting from or arising out of your use of, or your inability to use, our Site(s) or any linked website or the services provided or arranged through our Site(s), including, but not limited to, personal injury claims, lost wages, property damage, lost profits, business interruption, and loss of programs or other data on your information handling system.

Language. While the website is provided in a number of languages, the terms of use and any communications made by or to us shall be made in English.

Indemnity. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us (and each of our officers, directors, members, employees, agents, volunteers, Community Partners, and affiliates) from any claim, demand, action, damage, loss, cost, or expense, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your use of, or your participation in services provided or arranged through, our Site(s) that violates these Terms. Further, if you are using our Site(s) on behalf of any entity, you represent and warrant that such entity agrees to indemnify you and us for violations of these Terms in accordance with this Section. If you are obligated to indemnify us, we will have the right, in our sole and unfettered discretion, to control any action or proceeding and determine whether we wish to settle it, and if so, on what terms.

Disclaimers. OUR SITE(S) AND THE MATERIALS AT OUR SITE(S) AND ANY LINKED WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF TITLE AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE FUNCTIONS OF THIS SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR- FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT OUR SITE(S), ANY WEBSITE LINKED TO OUR SITE(S), OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE OUR SITE(S) AND ANY LINKED WEBSITE AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

IV. TERMS OF SERVICE FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERS

In order to become a third-party user of the Sites (AKA a Community Partner), the Community Partner’s representative(s) must agree NOT to use the VolunteerCentreCounty.org website or app for any of the following uses (doing so will result in the permanent loss of Community Partner status):

  • Fundraising
  • Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes
  • Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing
  • Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements
  • Engaging in partisan political activities or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to any public office
  • Attempting to influence legislation
  • Participating in or endorsing events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials
  • Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization
  • Providing a direct benefit to:
    • A business organized for profit
    • A labor union
    • A partisan political organization
    • A nonprofit organization that fails to comply with the restrictions contained in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 related to engaging in political activities or a substantial amount of lobbying
    • Conducting a voter registration drive or raising funds for voter registration drives

By applying for and becoming approved, the Community Partner and its representative(s) desire to connect, share, and communicate with other willing participants in the volunteer community. As such, the Community Partner and its representative(s) understand that the scope of the relationship with Sedum, Inc. is limited to the use of Volunteer Centre County’s and Engage Centre County PA’s Sites for the purpose of connecting with, sharing, and communicate with the volunteer community and other willing participants in the volunteer community regarding finding, signing-up for, tracking the hours and tasks, and contributing to stated community impacts of volunteer activities with Sedum, Inc and its Community Partners.

Neither Sedum, Inc., Volunteer Centre County, nor Engage Centre County PA bears any responsibility for actual volunteers’ or potential volunteers’ relationships with any Community Partner or its representative(s), or with anyone else in the volunteer community.
