Cemetery Cleanup, especially removing items in the cemetery.

April - May

Mowing + cleaning up + prepping for Memorial Day.

We make grapevine wreaths for those who died in service and place them by Memorial Day.

VFW Post #1600 usually handles the flagging of the 803 veteran graves, and they can use volunteers.

May - September

Mowing + planting + watering.

Tombstone cleaning + minor maintenance.

October

We try to place as many solar lights as possible for the veterans’ graves so the flags have light overnight.

November

We are lighting up the cemetery on Veterans Day, Nov. 9, 2025.

Paper bags are decorated.

Donations for the battery-operated lights, birdseed, + supplies are raised by selling Luminary Bags.

We can use help prepping the bags, setting them up, + taking them down.

December

Wreaths Across America is on December 13, 2025.

We can use help with wreath delivery (Milesburg American Legion Post, 893 Mumper-Shawley parking lot).

We can use help placing wreaths on 803 veterans’ graves.
